Body Panel Fabrication: Part 2

Some of the forms for the Suzuki GT380 body panels have been finished so we've started on the next step in the process, making the molds. The molds will be used to produce the final body panels of the Suzuki.

Each mold is made from fiberglass and epoxy resin.  Layers of fiberglass are wrapped onto the forms and then painted with epoxy to create a hard shell that will be pulled off later when the fiberglass and resin has set.

This process is used for each body panel of the motorcycle. The molds will be used once or twice and then stored in case they are ever needed again in the future.
