GT380 Wheel Installation

For the Suzuki GT380 Concept bike we decided that a spoked wheel would be a perfect addition to this build paying homage to the classic motorcycle that remains at the very core of this build.

Like most bikes it's age the 1975 Suzuki GT380 came with a set of wheels featuring chrome rims with spokes which were normal for the era. The silver SunRims, made by 'Buchanan Spokes' in USA since 1987, feature a silver mat finish and are laced to our MotoWorks Hub made in Rochester NY at our Production Facility.

Buchanan did a great job lacing up these wheels and they look perfect with our choice of Michelin 150/60 ZR17 Pilot Street Radial tires. Since the GT380 is a 2 stroke bike and requires 2 cycle oil the frame design will incorporate an oil reservoir built right into the frame. Utilizing the rear part of the frame that supports the suspension, an oil reservoir for the oil injection system will use the frame cavity for oil storage. This saves weight and space by using a pre-existing cavity instead of using a separate reservoir thats bolted on like most bikes. The foot controls featured on the GT380 are designed and built right here in The MotoWorks facility. These are our 'Performance Rearsets' that are available for your custom build. Contact us for further details. ᵀᴴᴱMOTOWORKS custom designs and builds advanced performance bikes, machined racing components, and lightweight carbon fiber parts.
